Sunset Wedding Bow Valley Ranche Calgary Wedding Photographers
Iain + Dinusha’s day was absolutely beautiful Bow Valley Ranche is an exceptional venue that I had the pleasure of working at multiple times this year. Although I had the privilege of being their wedding photographer in Calgary, they were blessed with an AMAZING team of vendors who worked so hard to help them pivot their plans and create the perfect wedding day. I absolutely loved their sunset wedding photos.
How They Met:
Dinusha and Iain met 3 years ago at a mutual friends Stampede Party. Funny thing was . . . neither wanted to go . . . Dinusha just finished a night shift and Iain was looking for new plans when his friends bailed on him because it was too hot out in Calgary They noticed each other in the hallway and said hello, but it was when Iain said “Cheers!” that caught Dinusha’s attention.. On the dance floor later on that evening, she noticed that he was teaching Tulsi’s sister how to two-step. Dinusha wanted to be spun just the same way so she found the courage, to ask him “Where did you learn to dance like that?”. Happy to hear that, Iain promised her the next dance…and from there they danced the night away.
Engagement story:
There were a few months of planning that went into the proposal. We chose a time when we would be away with both of our families because we wanted to share the moment with them in person.
The proposal happened when we were on a winter hike in Panorama, BC. While Dinusha knew that it was going to happen sometime over that week while the families were together, she did not expect it in the moment. We had stopped for a rest at the end of the hike to take in the scenery, and Dinusha thought she heard Iain rustling in his pocket to find the ring! Before they set off on the hike back, Iain offered to take a picture of Dinusha and her friend Noreen. Iain asked her friend to do the same for us, and when she was ready to take the picture, he popped the question.
