Pastel Wedding at Sirroco Golf Club
We recently had the pleasure of capturing this beautiful pastel wedding at Sirroco Golf Club in Calgary. Planned by Melissa Dawn Event Designs, the entire day was seamless from beginning to end. At the beginning of the day, the couple played traditional door games where the groom has to pass a series of “tests” for his wife to be to come out of hiding! This was one of the most fun door games we have attended as the groom and his groomsmen were forced to eat wasabi (ouch!) and then sing to Backstreet Boys. They knew all the words and the groom won his bride’s heart. As she entered the living room she was filled with tears to see her fiance and all their friends singing to her!
The florals for this wedding were absolutely out of this world. The beautiful pastel pinks and blues were complimented by the lush baby’s breath. The floral arch was simply divine so we chose to focus a lot of our portraits here! If you are thinking of one area where you can really expand your budget, our suggestion will always be on florals for your ceremony. Particularly when your wedding venue has a more simple background, these florals can provide an extraordinarily beautiful backdrop for your formal photos.
The escort card set up was also so gorgeous. It was designed by The Social Page and featured a white wall with custom envelopes that guests would open to find their card and seat number. The design featured a white feather which was meaningful to the couple and represented their engagement story.
Lastly, who could forget their adorable pup! We just love weddings where furry family members are included. She was so sweet! We hope you enjoy this little peek into their day!
