Romantic Bohemian Meadow Muse Wedding

When Claire and Chris emailed me about their romantic, bohemian themed wedding at Meadow Muse in Calgary, I was beaming! Claire had mentioned that her and Chris are very outdoorsy, love nature, and wanted their images to reflect that. I was able to capture their day purely by fate! I had cleared the first two weeks of my calendar in August for my own wedding this year. As a result, the date I had not chosen was still available as my last available weekend for 2015! I was so thrilled that things worked out.

Claire and Chris have such relaxed, sincere personalities. Their wedding was probably the most relaxed I had felt the entire year! When they are around each other the love is palpable. One thing I noticed is the way that they look at each other. I mean really look. The way that Chris looks at Claire, you can see that he feels overwhelmed with love and happiness. True love and enjoyment of the moment shines through when they are together.

Claire and Chris met at Local 510 on 17th Avenue while they were out with their respective friends. After having a few beers; Claire’s friend made her way to Chris’ table to thank him for buying a girlfriend a beer due to the long line-up at the bar and Claire tagged along. She remembers looking into his beautiful eyes and thinking he was intelligent and interesting. He remembers saying out loud “who is that?” looking past a crowd of people. Instead of saying hello like when two people meet, Claire’s first words to Chris were: “So what are you, 5’8”?” (he was sitting down with his long legs underneath, and she had a history of shorter boyfriends so she was curious). He stood up (standing 6’2”) and the rest is history. Chris proposed to Claire with a stunning blue topaz and diamond ring from Tacori. The proposal was highlighted by the beautiful background of Banff in the Rocky Mountains and caught Claire completely off guard.

Claire and Chris held an intimate wedding ceremony at Hull’s Wood in Fish Creek Park. Their vows were heartfelt and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight! Claire looked absolutely elegant in her gown from Frocks Modern Bridal in Calgary. Their reception followed at the beautiful Meadow Muse venue where guests celebrated into the evening.
