Tented Estate Wedding in Springbank
Paige and Terrance had an absolutely amazing wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their wedding was so special as it was held on Paige’s family property just outside of Calgary. At one point, Paige’s mom remarked how the very place the aisle was, was where their children would play slip and slide in the summer and make wonderful memories. I immediately burst out crying (when you’re a mom..it just happens!) I think I probably cried about 20 times during their wedding day! Their family was so gracious, welcoming, and lovely. Paige and Terrance are such a kind couple and the love between them totally radiates! During this summer we had many more intimate or micro weddings than years past, and it was so enjoyable since couples could really relax and have fun. This energy really shines through in photos and reminds me why I love being a wedding photographer so much!
How they met:
We met at work in the elevator bank. We saw each other and were immediately taken. We worked together for about a week and started dating shortly thereafter!
The Engagement Story:
We went on a trip to Oregon to take a break from Chicago and all the concrete. We really wanted to enjoy the fresh ocean air and spend some time hiking in nature. On our first night in Astoria, he took me to Cannon beach after dinner on the pier to watch the sunset and he proposed!
The Wedding Day:
Our wedding theme was a relaxed garden party with 60 guests. We wanted our family and friends to feel relaxed, have good food, and just enjoy an evening with everyone all together! Our colours were white with a lot of greenery and a touch of pink.
We forgot to have our first dance since we were all having so much fun – we didn’t realize we forgot until we woke up the next morning! We will plan to honeymoon once borders and travel are more open, we are hoping for Spain or Greece. For now, we took a quick getaway to storm mountain lodge so we could unplug.
