Every bride wants her wedding day to go off without a hitch, but life happens and emergencies arise. That’s why it’s important to be prepared and have a wedding day emergency kit on hand just in case. While each kit will vary depending on your wedding and needs, here are 10 essentials that you should include.

1. Sewing kit

This is a must-have for any wedding day emergency kit. A simple sewing kit should include various colors of thread, safety pins, needle, and scissors. This will come in handy for any last minute wardrobe malfunctions or alterations.

2. Stain remover

Whether it’s food, wine, or mud, you never know when a stain will appear on a bridesmaid’s dress or your wedding dress. Keep a bottle of stain remover on hand to help tackle any unexpected mess.

3. Adhesive tape

This is essential for making quick repairs to your dress or decorations. Double sided tape, clear packing tape, and fabric tape are all useful to have in your kit.

4. Band-aids

You never know when someone might get a cut or scrape during the wedding day. Keep a box of band-aids in the kit for minor boo-boos.

5. Hair supplies

Whether you have a long mane or a short bob, it’s a good idea to have some hair supplies on hand. Include bobby pins, hairspray, and a few hair ties to help keep your hair in place.

6. Snacks

Weddings are long days and it’s important to stay fuelled. Pack some snacks such as granola bars, trail mix, and protein bars to keep you and your bridal party going.

7. Water

Dehydration is one of the most common wedding day emergencies. Keep bottles of water on hand to make sure everyone stays hydrated throughout the day.

8. Pain relievers

Headaches, cramps, and muscle aches can all pop up throughout the day. Make sure you have some pain relievers such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen to help ease any aches and pains.

9. Stain wipes

For quick clean-ups, keep a few stain wipes in your kit. These are great for getting rid of food and drink spills quickly.

10. Phone charger

Your phone is sure to take a beating throughout the day. Keep a spare phone charger on hand to make sure you don’t run out of battery power. Having a wedding day emergency kit on hand is essential for any bride. With these 10 essentials, you’ll be prepared for anything that comes your way on your special day.
