Luxury Private Estate Wedding Calgary
This luxury private estate wedding in Calgary is what dreams are made of! As a Calgary wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of shooting hundreds of weddings over the last decade and this one is hands down in my top 3. Brittany and James were originally planning to wed in Malibu. Then the pandemic hit, those plans went bust (until next year that is!).
The Planning
Fawn Events, based out of Los Angeles California contacted me last year regarding a proposal for their date. At first, I wondered what was going on, but then I quickly realized that they would be planning an entire luxury wedding day including a wedding photographer and all vendors site unseen. This was a monumental task and I am in awe of their professionalism and dedication to Brittany and James. Enter the team. This day could not have happened without the spectacular production of my talented peer and wedding planner, Jacqueline Rae. Words cannot begin to describe the sheer amount of organization and love she put into this day. Wedding planners, coordinators, and production teams are always a fantastic addition to a wedding day. They not only assist the client in planning, but ensure a smooth day for vendors as well.
The Ceremony
Brittany and James chose to celebrate their wedding day in luxury style at their brand new estate home. The ceremony featured a stunning floral installation at the entrance to their home. Beautiful neutral, blush and white-toned florals cascaded down the pillars and into the aisle creating an ethereal and exceptionally romantic feel. Clear chairs provided a minimal distraction for their intimate ceremony. Brittany arrived at her wedding in a vintage Rolls Royce from Alpine Limousine.
The Cocktail Hour
The wedding cocktail hour was spectacular! Guests mingled together over prosecco provided by the team at The Prosecco Cart. Drinking from a coupe glass never goes out of style.
The Reception
The wedding reception was the epitome of luxury and class. The neutral floral tones were accented by gold coffee tables and complimented by the soft textures of the seating areas. The dance floor was encircled by two long couches and florals. The bar was bright and modern and utilized the florals from the ceremony as runners. Encapsulating the entire event was a large clear-span tent featuring twinkling lights to illuminate with a soft, romantic glow. The wedding rentals and furnishings were courtesy of Modern Rentals. This tent is in huge demand. It gives a sense of being in the outdoors while providing warmth and protection in an elegant, stunning way.
The Party
This group sure knew how to have fun! Although this micro wedding was intimate in terms of guest count, that didn’t stop a fantastic party from happening. Pez Productions was absolutely phenomenal in providing a fantastic atmosphere.
This gorgeous wedding is a testament to how ingenuity, flexibility, and a fantastic team of wedding vendors can come together to create a spectacular wedding day even amid a pandemic. Having a micro wedding expands your budget to allow you to have a truly luxurious and beautiful wedding day.
