Cherry Blossom Spring Engagement Session

This spring engagement session with a beautiful cherry blossom background was so stunning! I loved getting to know Alyssa and Kyle better during our session. We laughed through their entire shoot, which is probably one of my favourite parts about what I do. The weather is starting to get warmer and this is truly my favourite time of the year to start the season. It’s not too hot and not too cold! The evenings are warm, everything is turning greener and the world seems to be waking up after the slumber of winter. It makes it the perfect romantic time for photos. Additionally, they brought their super adorable dog, Hank, to their session. He was so amazing while we took photos, and very eager to jump in the river after that stick! I can’t wait to capture their wedding day. Here’s a little bit about their love story below.

Having grown up together and attended the same schools, our love story began in junior high with intentionally teasing one another…ALL THE TIME! What started as playful banter soon evolved into a deep bond, strengthened by countless movie nights, phone calls, walks, and many rounds of golf. We bought our first home together and welcomed Hank, our white lab, into the family. After 10 years together, Kyle proposed on the shoreline of Lake Minnewanka in Banff. We are so excited for our first look at each other down the aisle and to be surrounded by all of our family and friends!
