Intimate Glenbow Museum Wedding
Nicole and Colin had an absolutely stunning wedding! From the moment we met I knew they had a clear vision that wanted to incorporate their closest family, friends and their love of the arts. The Glenbow Museum was a fantastic and fitting venue choice. The space itself and the stunning artwork provided beautiful backdrops and gave the guests a chance to mingle and view the space. From the bride:
We started with a vision of an intimate ceremony followed by a big cocktail party with great entertainment, food and wine. We were dedicated to creating an entire event that was truly unique and nontraditional! We rented out a bowling alley the night before and hosted a mixer with bowling, pizza and drinks for our close friends, family and out of town guests. We had about 56 guests at our ceremony at Ranchmen’s Club, which consisted of immediate family and close friends. We wanted a very simple ceremony that wouldn’t take away from the ceremony itself. We spent a lot of time selecting our ceremony playlist to create a warm and free-spirited atmosphere. It was so sweet to hear that many of our guests sang along to the music while waiting for the bridal party.
We celebrated immediately afterwards with champagne and offered light refreshments to our guests while we took formal photographs. We wanted to take photos against the amazing artwork collection that the Glenbow has to offer and I believe we were successful in doing so. The reception decor was crisp and modern, all cocktail style tables, white lines, short and bar stool seating options with clear ghost chairs and white couches. We didn’t peek at the reception decor and kept it a surprise until we entered during the cocktail hour. It was truly beautiful and overwhelming when we were first introduced as husband and wife. We came down the staircase and looked out onto venue which was so elegant and stunning, with all of our family and friends, and it made every effort of the previous months worth it!
We had a band, fun and interactive food stations, kept the speeches short and sweet and got to partying as soon as we could. It was an incredibly fun and memorable event. Everything fell into place exactly as planned. We couldn’t have been happier. It really was the celebration of a lifetime!
