Karly + Brayden Silvertip Canmore Wedding
Okay guys get the tissues and get ready for an amazing first look. Sheesh! These two had me tearing up! I had such an amazing day with Karly and Brayden. They were so much fun to be around and they were amazing about the weather, braving the chill in the air for all of their photos. Thankfully, they had each other to keep cozy. I feel so lucky to have captured their day, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them! I hope you enjoy their story below and the sneak peek into their day. xo – Nicole
How did you meet?:
I went to high school in Whitecourt, while Brayden went to high school in Onoway. Brayden was playing hockey in Whitecourt; his best friend on his hockey team and my best friend, were dating at the time. They decided to set us up on a double date. While neither of us had intentions of dating, we couldn’t help ourselves. We both knew it was something special from the start!
Engagement story:
It was a spur of the moment trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley. Brayden set up a wine tour for us! He drove me nuts that morning, “what do I wear” and “we have to match”. Little did I know why. We were at our first winery, drinking wine and walking the vineyard. When in the distance I saw wine barrels, with pictures of us. Seven barrels, seven notes, for seven years we had been together. I read the notes, and it ended with him asking me to marry him. It was an amazing day, I couldn’t have asked for more!
The Wedding Day!
The day started with us waking up, looking outside and seeing beautiful snowy mountains, all of our favorite people around us while getting ready. We couldn’t believe the day we had been planning, for over a year was finally here! We met for our first look, at Quarry Lake Park. While snow fell all around us, we reveled in each other. Just as our ceremony started, the sky’s cleared and the most important moment of our life was here. Everything else just faded away, it was just us. We celebrated with the most important people in our lives. We danced, laughed, drank, and made so many memories we will always cherish!
Our wedding colors were white and gold, with lace and crystal accents. It turned out amazing and was so beautiful! We had 130 guests, which was just what we wanted!
Our wedding song was “Speechless” by Dan and Shay. When we first heard the song, it just gave us this feeling; we knew it was our song.
The Honeymoon!
We spent our honeymoon on white sandy beaches and crystal blue water, at a Sandals Resort in Barbados. It is such an amazing place; we soaked up every moment of it!
