The Lake House Calgary Wedding Venue

 

As a Calgary wedding photographer, the Lake House is a top three venue in my books! It is situated directly above Lake Bonavista. With simple elegance, The Lake House is one of Calgary’s finest and unique restaurants for weddings.  The Lake House has space for up to 250 guests for cocktails, or 180 seated.

The floor-to-ceiling windows are breathtaking. Beautiful elk antler chandeliers and the grand fireplace will create a romantic and elegant atmosphere perfect for your wedding day. There is also a beautifully refurbished bar from the 1800s. It has a rich history as it was previously housed in a mercantile shop in Montana! The outdoor patio features a wonderful view of the lake. These are just a few of the features the Lake House has to offer.  Another wonderful addition is the wedding and event planner who can assist you in making sure you have everything you need for your day.

 

All in one venue

Unlike most other restaurant venues, The Lake House offers both a ceremony and a reception space on the same site. As a photographer, I find this provides a seamless transition between your events. The Lake House has a sophisticated country charm that gives you the feeling of escaping to a more rural environment while keeping you close to the city.

 

The menu

Chef Neukom has created a locally inspired menu. He and his team specialize in creating elegant meat and seafood entrees (delicious vegetarian options are also available).  The outstanding culinary team at The Lake House is ready to customize the menu for your big day with a diverse wine list. They even have an in-house pastry team who can craft a unique wedding cake just for you. As Calgary wedding vendors, our couples have always stated how much they’ve enjoyed their wedding day at this beautiful venue.

Availability

The Lake House is available every season. In the winter, you can sip wine as you admire the beautiful glass-encased wine cellar. In the summer months, you can mingle on the patio beside the event space. We love the wood dining tables and chairs, complimentary white linen, and access to cocktail tables that are included with every booking.
