Whimsical Winter Session

As Calgary wedding photographers we love whimsical winter engagements. This past weekend Michelle of Li’l Mam Flowers and I spent some time creating a whimsical winter session, highlighted by Michelle’s gorgeous floral work and the stunning crop top “Sunny” Hayley Paige gown. Crop tops are such an amazing addition to this year’s wedding trend, and they are so versatile. They add just a touch of interest and glamour, while maintaining that bohemian, enchanting vibe that I love so much.

The florals featured beautiful flowing designs with my one of my favorite winter flowers, the anemone. The rich colour palette included deep greens, creams, burgundy, soft pinks and black for contrast. This made for some truly striking, luxurious, yet inviting arrangements.  I love that you don’t have to go the traditional red and green route for a winter wedding. Deep purples are such a lovely alternative that is less overdone. The flower crown was the final, gorgeous statement piece that brought this look together.

The scenery provided us with a mystical and surreal tone which I absolutely love! Take a walk with us to the forest where it’s just a little bit warmer….
