This sunset engagement session in Arizona was so much fun! As Calgary wedding photographers, we are typically found in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. However, in the winter time, we often make Arizona our second home. I first met S+D when I was doing a styled shoot in Arizona the previous year. They were an absolutely lovely couple. Both are such natural models.

Their chemistry was palpable and we found ourselves laughing through our entire shoot. We became friendly quickly, and kept in touch this past year. When I saw that they had recently gotten engaged (at Disneyland nonetheless!) I knew I HAD to capture their engagement session.

S is working on his residency, but managed to make time to drive several hours for their engagement session. They were absolute troopers and climbed up a tiny mountain just for me, because I promised them the views would be “just that good!”.

The desert sunset did not disappoint us either. It was absolutely stunning. Everything was glowing and shimmering in the sunlight. D’s style is impeccable and her dress choices complimented their look so perfectly.

We had so much fun capturing this special moment in their lives and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them!
