How did you meet?:

Dan and I met online.  Our first date was effortless and fun and very early on we both knew that we were meant for each other!  Despite the craziness of online dating it was all worth it in the end just to meet Dan.

 

Engagement story:

 

 

Dan and I were engaged a couple of summers ago at a place very special to his family.  Dan caught me completely off-guard.  It was such a wonderful surprise and such a special, sweet and heartfelt moment on the dock in the moonlight.

 

 

The Wedding Day!

 

 

Wedding planning due to COVID-19 turned into a bit of a rollercoaster ride.  But the one thing we were clear on was that we wanted to get married this year – however it would look.  Thanks to the wonderful help of our excellent wedding planner (Faye Lewchak of Epic Events and Weddings) and the generous flexibility of all of our amazing vendors we were able to reschedule to an earlier date than we had planned and switched locations to the Banff Springs Hotel so all of 35 of our guests could enjoy a holiday within Alberta.  After the past few months, we really wanted to give our guests an opportunity to kick back and relax and enjoy a weekend away.

 

We decided to keep our colour palette with our original wedding colours of white, gold and green and through the suggestion of Foxglove Floral we mixed in a light blush/pink colour.

 

Hands down, my favourite part of the day was getting to see Dan at our first look.  It was a private moment for us to talk and prepare for the ceremony.  And Nicole made us – two very awkward people in front of a camera – feel so comfortable as we were taking photos!

 

We were also very excited (and lucky) that we were able to have a dance and no one enjoyed it more than Dan closing the night down!  Thank you, Pez Productions!

 

Despite all of the craziness with planning, I wouldn’t change anything.  The day was perfect for us.  We had so much support and love from our family and friends.  Dan and I felt so fulfilled by the day and how everything went.  We are very thankful we were able to celebrate the way we did because you never know what the future holds.  Thank you to everyone who made our day special – it meant so much to us!
