Romantic Cornerstone Theatre Wedding

As a Calgary wedding photographer, I am blessed that I live so close to the mountains and get to capture absolutely stunning weddings in Banff and Canmore all year round! Amanda and Alex had a gorgeous mountain wedding ceremony surrounded by the vistas of the rocky mountains. Their entire day was so beautiful from beginning to end and I am honoured to have been able to share in their special day and capture these memories for them.

 

A little bit about their love story:

Alex was moving to Grande Prairie for work and needed a place to live. He found Amanda offering a room on Kijiji. We lived together for 7 months before we started dating and have been together ever since!

  

Engagement story: We had gone on a few hikes in the Canmore/ Banff area but Alex always seemed to struggle to keep up with Amanda. Until they hiked Sulfur Mountain when Alex seemed to be hiking much quicker than usual. When we got to the top Alex asked Amanda to reach into his backpack for the camera where she found the ring!

 

Our Canmore wedding Ceremony was held atop a hill in a meadow surrounded by the three sisters mountains, at Quarry Lake Park. We chose navy and gold for our elegant-vintage style wedding theme. We celebrated this special day at the Cornerstore Theatre, a rustic cabin-like venue settled in the town of Canmore, AB. We had approximately 100 of our closest family and friends there to help us celebrate. The highlight of the night was our first dance to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol as it was the culmination of months of lessons and preparation. Despite one trip to the emergency room and the bar being shut down early it was an amazing night for all!
