Sheryl + Kelly’s Rimrock Banff Wedding
As Calgary Wedding Photographers, we often shoot in the mountain regions and are always excited when we get an inquiry for a wedding out there! Weddings in Banff are so gorgeous! When Sheryl got in touch I knew that Tess, one of our amazing associate photographers would be the absolute perfect fit for their wedding day. There’s a common misconception that rain on a wedding day isn’t desirable, however from a photographer’s perspective it makes for the absolute BEST conditions to shoot in – often you can’t even tell it is raining! The clouds give a beautiful soft coverage that acts like a giant softbox outdoors. Much better than everyone melting in the blazing heat! I love how their images look and you can truly feel their love and the love their families’ and friends who shared in this amazing day with them. How did you meet?:
We met through our very good friends, crossing paths a few times over the years, some sparks flew during a poker game, however the “real” meeting was during stampede, – bull bustin at the Ranchmans ;).
Engagement story:
Our engagement took place on Jun 1, 2018 in Maui… a wonderful day!!
THE WEDDING DAY
Our wedding theme would likely be classic/romantic, we kept it simple, just wanted to ensure everyone had a great time. We had 115 of our closest family and friends attend. Top moment would be when we were actually able to start the ceremony, we were delayed approximately an hour and half due an incident on the highway the night before. It all worked out for the best though, the rain went away, sun came out, flowers and guests arrived. Everything was lovely from that moment on!
