Snowy Maternity Session in Calgary

Snowy maternity sessions in Calgary are so wonderful. Ellena and Kevin are two of my good friends. I actually met both of them shooting their engagement session and then their wedding at the Lake House! It has been a privilege to capture their important milestones. Their son was born just a couple weeks ago, and boy is he cute! For their maternity session, we shot in beautiful Fish Creek park in Calgary. This location was a special choice as it is where Ellena and Kevin had their wedding formal photographs done! It’s such a magical part of the city that feels ethereal and enchanting. Both Ellena and I are major Disney fans, and I always find shooting at this location gives me that sense of being in a a magical forest.

I love her beautiful red dress and how this session reminds me of the approaching holiday season. Although at times growing a baby can be challenging and difficult, it really is so special to have photos to remember it by –  It is wonderful to see a family grow and have the honor of capturing it. I cannot wait to see how their little boy grows and I am honoured to call them my friends.
